Incredible belt or waspie type waist cincher circa the late 1800s/early 1900s. Ivory silk with touches of purple that were perhaps meant to be flowers originally, I'm not sure. Boning that I believe is whale bone. Has an ivory fabric back. 2.5 to 4.5 wide. Measures 25 from end to end at its longest point ( the top corners). Closes with hooks and eyes. No label.Fair to poor vintage condition. The inner structure is in fairly decent shape and the hardware is still sound, so it could technically still be worn, though very gently. But the exterior silk is pretty shattered and has been flattened and faded. Its probably best for a collection, or display, or to use as a study or pattern. Priced accordingly and as is.
