Earlier this year, Disney released Peter Pan & Wendy on Disney+, which met with some positive reactions from fans of the classic story. According to Daniel Richman on Patreon, the studio is looking to develop a Peter Pan spin-off focusing on his pixie sidekick, Tinkerbell. Before the current WGA writers strike, screenwriter Maria Melnik penned the script for the film under producers Reese Witherspoon, Bruna Papandrea, and Lindsay Doran.
