Circa 1970s leather belt with brass tone metal enamelled buckle depicting an eagle with a swooping "LIBERTY" banner.Buckle is nearly ovular, with enamelling in white, brick red and bright sky blue.Back of the buckle is etched copyright mark, "by 1776 assoc., Phila."Attached to a snap on dark brown leather belt strap with five adjustment holes.Back of leather strap is gold embossed with what looks like a size, some illegible info and "Biology Designs, Philadelphia USA"- not all completely readable.Estimated 1975 or 76 production as a commemorative 200 year anniversary design.In excellent condition, the leather strap is thick yet supple, with no warping or damages, appear seldom worn.The buckle is also in excellent condition- while not marked as brass- it is heavy enough to likely be brass and has wonderful detailing.A very cool piece of Americana!Measurements:the buckle design is 2- 3/8" wide by 2- 5/8" high, with total buckle width (including attachemnt bar) measuring 2- 7/8"the leather strap plus buckle has an adjustable circumference of 35" to 38- 1/2"the leather strap is 1- 5/8" wide - strap is removable, as shown
